  • Use the Theme Settings/Theme Customizer to make at least three (3) changes.
    1. Site Identity: added logo, changed the site title, added tagline, added site icon
    2. Main Nav: Removed “Announcement” and “Technology” items
    3. Removed all but two default posts.
  • Download and apply at least two (2) plugins.
    1. Added Yoast SEO
    2. Added Google Analytics Dashboard Plugin for WordPress by MonsterInsights
  • Activate at least one (1) widget. Deactivate at least one (1) widget.
    1. Added Tag Cloud to Widgets Footer 1
    2. Removed Archives from Widget Sidebar
  • Embed a YouTube video into a Post.
    1. Added a new post cover photo
    2. Changed the title
    3. Updated the date of post to the date of the video
    4. Added two sections of text using the Elementor editor
    5. Added my Youtube video as a video element
  • Create and activate a child theme with duplicate style.css, functions.php, and footer.php files.
    1. Create a custom shortcode in the functions.php file to display the current date in the footer.
    2. Edit the style.css file to apply at least one (1) basic change to the theme. Changed themes.css, line 22.
      • From theme.css in the parent: .themes-php .wrap h1 .button {margin-left: 20px;}
      • To style.css in child: .themes-php .wrap h1 .button {margin-left: 25px;}
    3. Make at least one (1) additional alteration to the footer.php file.
